The next part of our adventure was a visit to Chamundi Hill to a temple that looked down over Mysore and the surrounding countryside. The views were spectacular, already the temperature had reached 35 degrees and it was only 11 o'clock.
More pics from travelling the dusty roads of India, before our stop in Mysore to see the street markets. Then by a turn of fate ended up in a Silk material shop and spent our two hours sifting through saris, garments and scarves, spending very little on some nice quality silk. It was now time to find Raj.
In the afternoon we headed to a bird sanctuary. More amazing pictures and our own private river boat to go exploring with a guide. Spotted billed Pelicans flying right over our heads and catching fish without landing, hundred of big black bats hanging in trees, egrets, open billed storks, spoonbills, herons, cormorants, kingfishers, and of course the odd crocodile! Yes Crocodiles. Swimming peacefully by the side of our boat. As you can imagine this was like the icing on the cake at the end of an amazing weekend
Crocodiles swimming by the boat.
Wise words for us
