A change into "outdoor working clothes" on Friday 28th Year 3 and Year4

A change into "outdoor working clothes" on Friday 28th Year 3 and Year4
This Friday afternoon, the children in Year 3 and Year 4 are going to be working with  the R.S.P.B. Outreach Team. We are going to be doing some work clearing out the school's pond. This is likely to be a bit messy, so we ask that the children bring a change of clothes (or, at least, "bottom half") and some suitable footwear,- preferably "wellies".
Any parents that would like to join us for the afternoon would be very welcome. Please contact Mr. MacBean or Mrs Johnson.
Many Thanks

Year 4 Cricket and volunteers

Request: 15 children have been invited to take part in a cricket festival next TUESDAY from 9:30-2:30, they will be bringing a letter home tonight with details. If your child is going, we do need 1 or 2 volunteers to join Mrs. Scott for the day, so if you are willing and able please let us know before Friday.
Thank you!

Year 4 Friday 21st April 2017

I would like to begin the final term by saying what a wonderful Spring Term we had - it was a rollercoaster ride from start to finish - you wouldn't think it was only a couple of months ago it was christmas!!!!!!!! Not only did we learn a multitude of new things, we also found time to rehearse and perform in the Year 4 DASP music concert, take part in sporting events, prepare a dramatic assembly and, of course, HOOKE COURT!!!!!!!!!

Year 4 were an absolute delight to take away - EVERY SINGLE child grew 50cm taller in self esteem and maturity!!!!!! They supported each other throughout the whole experience and POSITIVITY was the word that sprang to mind to sum up their attitude! I was humbled by their kindness towards each other and how they interacted with children from other schools. Other words that would make it onto a vocabulary list to describe them are: courage, respect, consideration, willing, happy, polite, friendly and............AWESOME!!!!!!!!! We were all so super proud of you all and a special well done goes to all those children who had never stayed away from home before "YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!" Yippee!!!!!!!

Well, the theme park theme continues with our final term as before you know it we will be at the end of term - rollercoasters all the way!

Let's fill our final term with learning, fun, happiness, building as many fond memories as we can and making every second count!

See you all on Monday!

Oh, and I said last term, if everyone in year 4 could have a pair of trainers in school, we are going to build up to running everyday in a bid to build our fitness and stamina they will need to keep their trainers in school).

Mrs. J and The year 4 Team.
