The first few days in year 4 (and home learning)

Hello everyone,

We have had a lovely first few days in year 4 and the children are beginning to settle into their new position at the top of the school beautifully.

The class have shown a lot of interest in our new topic, World War 2 and are adjusting to their new roles and responsibilities in year 4.

A highlight so far has been the buddies with Reception. It has been wonderful to watch the class care for their younger buddies and they have had an important role in helping the reception children settle during playtimes and assemblies.

Tomorrow (Thursday) we have swimming. Could all children bring their swimming kit and a rain jacket please?

Please note, the year 4 Parent Information session will be on Monday at 9am and the Nothe Fort trips will be on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

Home learning

This week we have been looking at historical events and putting them into chronological order. The project home learning project invites children to create their own personal timeline. They have been provided with a timeline template or they are welcome to create their own timelines.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns please talk or email myself (Ms Browne), Mr MacBean or a member of the team.

Kind regards,

Ms Browne, Mr MacBean and the Year 4 team. xx
