Hello everyone,
I hope you are well and enjoying your last week of virtual school so far.
World Book Day - Thursday
On Thursday it is World book day and the children are invited to dress up as a nursery rhyme character (this is not compulsory). There will be a special World Book day assembly and there will be a choice of activities that you and your child may like to engage in. Click here for a preview of the activities that I am suggesting but please also feel free to explore the World Book Day website and choose your own.
Next week
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone next week and hopefully your child is excited too. It is completely normal for you and your child to have some anxieties after 8 weeks of virtual school. If there are any specific worries or concerns you may have please feel free to email me directly. Otherwise, please be reassured that next week we will be focusing on activities that will help the class readjust to the classroom environment and collaborative learning and team building. Although we will not be doing Power Maths or RWI next week, please could all Power Maths Practice books, RWI books, Grammar and reading books be returned by 11th March.
Science week
Next week is Science week and we will have a variety of science related activities that I am confident the children will enjoy. Some of these will focus on food whereas others will be help children develop their investigative skills. If you have any photographs of any science activities that your child carried out during virtual school please email them to me at c.browne@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk
We can't wait to see you and your child in school next week.
Kind regards,
Ms Browne and the Year 4 team.
