Week 1

Hello everyone,

The children have settled into year 4 really well and have adapted well to new routines. They especially enjoyed meeting the reception children today and we can see that they are going to be wonderful mentors and friends to their new buddies.

Swimming this week
Thank you to those families that have returned their swimming letters. Could all letters be returned as soon as possible please and by Thursday morning at the very latest.

Home learning
This year, home learning will be sent home on Mondays to be returned the following Monday. The home learning for this week is to talk to friends and family to find out what their relatives were doing during the second world war. Paper copies should have come home yesterday but click here for an electronic copy should you need it.

Spellings
Spellings for Mrs Hall's group (previously know as sprout) and my group (previously known as Flitwick went home today (Tuesday) their spelling tests will be on Mondays. The group previously known as McGonagall, will be given their new spellings on Thursdays and their spelling tests will be fortnightly during Autumn 1 on Wednesdays.

We hope your children are enjoying being in year 4 so far. We have a parent information session next Thursday 14th where I can give you an overview of the upcoming term and answer any questions you may have.

Kind regards,
The year 4 team
