Please Read: Sun protection and puberty

As Summer has finally decided to join us, can I ask that all children come into school with suitable sun protection and hydration. To help your child in the warmer weather please provide:
  • A sun hat.
  • A labelled water bottle.
Many parents and carers also apply sunscreen to their child before school and may also send some in for children to re apply.
Sun protection is particularly important on Wednesday (tomorrow) and Thursday of this week.

In today's PSHE lesson we discussed puberty and the general changes boys and girls go through. The main focus today was how a girl’s body changes in order for her to be able to have babies when she is an adult and that menstruation (having
periods) is a natural part of this.
The class also talked about their feelings about the changes their bodies will go through. I reminded them that we have an anonymous questions box and encouraged them to talk to trusted adults about any questions or concerns they may have.

If you have any questions please get in touch.
Kind regards,
Ms Browne
