Home Learning and next week

We've enjoyed another lovely week with your wonderful children. It is clear that they have been practicing their Shakespeare lines so thank you all. The play is really beginning to take shape and I'm so proud of the children's hard work and perseverance.

Home Learning
  • For home learning this week the children have been given a times tables sheet to complete. This is focusing on the 7s and 9s which are the times tables we will look at next week so it would be helpful to complete them. They were also sent home with a multiplication square which I have told the children they can keep at home.
  • Can the children please make a list of authors or types of books they would like for our class library.
  • The children have been given the project to order play equipment for break times on the playground. It would be great if they could start thinking about this.

Please can children also practice their Shakespeare lines, spellings and do some reading.

Learning & activities next week
  • Teacher & parent/carer meetings are next week on Tuesday 8th and Thursday 10th. Bookings are to be made using school cloud via the links emailed to you. If you need an in person consultation please get in touch.
  • On Tuesday the children will be going on their Songlines visit to the museum.
  • Throughout the week the children will continue to practice their Shakespeare performance with a performance to other classes on Friday. Please could the children bring in their (labelled) black clothing on Friday.

Fitness February
To help motivate your child to walk, run, cycle or scoot we are challenging the school to record how many KMs we can travel in the month.
Fill in the form here every time you do some exercise and help us to reach our target.
There will also be competitions between each class to see which year group travels the furthest. Please share any photos and videos of anything that gets your child moving.

I'll look forward to speaking to many of you next week. Have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,
Ms Browne & the Year 4 team
