Our trip to The Tank Museum and other bits and bobs.

Evening all,

I want to start this blog by saying a big thank you for all of your continued support in Year 4. The home learning that is coming back in weekly is to a great standard, children are progressing with their times tables (which is coming from the practice they are doing at home) and the spelling checks are also improving. Once again, thank you!

This week we had a trip to the tank museum which was a great success. Year 4 were really a credit to the school and showed great behaviour. We started the trip with two different workshops which were really practical and children showed great knowledge surrounding the topics of World War 2 and D-Day. We then finished the day with having the afternoon to look around the museum. Children showed great maturity and asked some really good questions.

This week we have also sent out the POW passports. If you have any questions regarding these please come and see a staff member in Year 4.

In regards to home learning the words to the songs that the children will be singing have come home. They are really getting to know the songs and it would be great if you could help them practice the words. I am adding the link to the songs we are singing into this blog.

To get there from the DASP Music homepage go to Resources, resources for students, year 4 singing concert resources

We are also having an opening of our new play trail Tuesday at 3:45. Everyone is welcome to come!

Thank you!
