YEAR 3 and 4 HOME LEARNING - Friday 17th May 2019
Year 4, you have been brilliant this week! We are so proud of you all and the effort you have put into your GL Assessments. We only have maths left which we will do this week.
This week’s home learning is continuing to focus on our topic about the Romans. We would like the children to design and make a Roman shield that they can bring into school on our Roman Day on Friday, May 24th. We will be practising some Roman soldier drills, including the ‘tortoise’ formation. The children have brought home a template to help them plan their design.
Two good websites that give lots of examples are: www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk https://www.timetrips.co.uk/romsol-shield.htm
Just a reminder about the ‘Roman’ lunch that will be taking place on Friday 24th. We would like to invite you to sign up to bring an item of food for the lunch that day (similar to the Christmas party system). There is a list on display in each classroom. In order to get into the real spirit of living life as a Roman, we would also like to invite the children to dress up in Roman costume.
Please do ask one of the Year 3 or 4 teams if you have any questions or queries.
Thank you for your continued support, Mrs Bishop, Mrs Thorpe, Miss Browne, Mr Dickinson.

Also, remember to keep practising your times tables!
Times Tables Rockstars, Mathletics, AR Reading Quizzes and Purple Mash can all be accessed at home to support your learning in school.
