Last day

Dear Parents and carers,

It feels as though this year has gone by in a flash but at the same time I am amazed by all that the children have achieved this year. Whilst the children have all made progress in terms of learning, they have also achieved so much more than this. For me our Macbeth performance was a highlight but each child also has their own personal accomplishments.

Today, each child should have come home with a personalised card. On the front of the card is a word cloud in the shape of a star - each word was chosen by your child's classmates and this will hopefully help them appreciate how special and unique they are.

For tomorrow's leavers event, as well as your child needing a picnic lunch, please also ensure that they have a hat, water bottle and snack. As your child won't be in school uniform you are welcome to send in a school polo shirt for them to collect signatures. This is not compulsory and they will also be given leavers books which can be signed if you would prefer.

Please remember that school pick up time will be 10 minutes earlier for year 4 as they are clapped out by the rest of the school.

As your child embarks on the next exciting chapter of their lives, me, the year 4 team and the wider school community community wish them every happiness and success.

You and your child will always be a part of the POW community and we always love seeing previous students for visits or at our Autumn and Spring Fests and summer fairs.

Wishing you all a happy, restful and safe summer holidays.

Lots of love from,
Ms Browne, Mrs Bernard, Mrs McConnell, Miss Street, Mrs Scott and Mr MacBean.
