Year 4 - Terrific Scientific - 18th February 2019

What a wonderful way to end the half term.  From Monday's Pea growing workshop, amazing undersea antics and learning about the dangers of balloons to the amazing Mr G and finally Friday's Science Fair the children had great fun learning about the Science of the environment and how to look after it.
A big well done to all of those children who brought in an exhibit for the Science Fair, the Mayor of Dorchester didn't expect to have so much fun when he came to visit!  Also very well done to Sophie and Reece, Erin and Jasper for doing such a good job at the official opening of our Eco-Shed.  I don't know about you, but since last week I've been thinking very carefully about how I recycle and buying less plastic packaged foods!

Instructions for growing Peas:
Leave lid on loosely.
Pea should have started sprouting by now.
The root will grow first, then the shoot.
When it reaches the top of the container it is ready to transplant into a pot with some soil.
Please bring the plastic test tube back to school to be recycled.

We would love to see some pictures of your peas as they grow!
