Year 4 Monday 12th March 2018

I do hope you all had a very restful weekend after an extremely busy week. I would like to say just how proud we were of you all, both during the rehearsal for the DASP concert but also for your performance in the evening. You represented the school with great maturity, confidence and pride, showing how much passion, energy and hard work you had for the team work required in order to perform. You sent many shivers up my spine and goose bumps up my arms when you sang!!!!!!! Well done!!!!!!

The talent did not simply stop there, you continued to excel during the rehearsals for our class assembly;being able to put on a performance like that in only 4 days was phenomenal!

Spelling home learning should have arrived home this evening, we are learning them every day in class. Please continue to read and practise your times tables too! This Friday there will be a project home learning piece.

This Thursday morning we will be participating in orienteering at DMS - rescheduled from Friday. PLEASE BRING IN A WARM TRACKSUIT AND TRAINERS TO WEAR FOR THIS.

As a school we have participated in 2 writing competitions run by DASP, the collaborative writing competition saw Ro, Faye, Emily and Jamie go through to the next round on Wednesday 21st March at THS and Katherine's comic made it through to the next round of selection at THS. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for our classmates!!!!!!!

Finally, a HUGE well done to Oona who was awarded with a large trophy at the weekend, having made it through to the second round in The Dorset Music Festival at Weymouth Pavillion - achieving "Most Potential" title!!!!! Wow you must have shown confidence, effort and no doubt a passion and enjoyment was clear to see on your face! We are VERY proud of you Oona!

See you all tomorrow!!!

Mrs. J and Mrs. Scott
