What a week we’ve had! Our residential trip to Hooke Court was truly amazing from start to finish, and we couldn’t be prouder of the children. They represented the school beautifully — showing kindness, teamwork, and enthusiasm in everything they did.
Throughout the week, we packed in so many exciting activities. The children loved den building in the woods and took part in an unforgettable WW2 Evacuee Day. They experienced what life might have been like as wartime evacuees — trying out rationing, cooking wartime recipes, taking part in a WW2-style classroom, exploring an Anderson shelter, and even putting out fake fires as part of their air raid training! The day ended in true celebratory spirit with a wonderful VE Day party, complete with dancing and smiles all around.
There were cheers of excitement during our rocket launching sessions too — the children were thrilled to see their designs take flight! π
Every single child embraced new challenges, supported one another, and made memories that will last a lifetime. We’re so grateful for this unforgettable experience and can’t wait to see how the confidence and friendships built at Hooke Court continue to shine back at school.
Well done, everyone — you were amazing! π«
