Food Glorious Food

Firstly, an enormous thank you to everyone that sent in foods for our class reward feast. The foods sent in exceeded all our expectations and the children had a wonderful time trying new foods and clearly enjoying some firm favourites.

We will continue our food topic next week, with the children writing their non chronological texts about where our food comes from. They will also take part in our collaborative project with Reception, learn about the role of teeth in the digestive system and look at the food art of Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Towards the end of the week we will also consider the differences between the UK and Brazil in terms of climate, land types and food production.

There were no spellings this week but children are encouraged to learn this year's spellings via Spelling shed if they are able to. The class were also sent a worksheet home that had some multiplication questions, time questions and the children were asked to make some word contractions and find foods from the UK and overseas. Should your child not have brought the worksheet home a link can be found here

As ever, if you have any questions, concerns or comments please email or get in touch with myself or a member of the team.

Kind regards,
Ms Browne & the Year 4 team. xx
