Check out the school website and year 4 class photos for Fairthorne pics!!!!! (I think I definitely spotted some super hero shots!!!!)
Our Fiarthorne diaries are looking superb-when they are written they will be on display in class along with photos, so please come in and have a look!!!!
Science: we began learning about habitats and investigated the school grounds.....
History: we began comparing and contrasting middle Stone Age, New Stone Age, Bronze Age and the Iron Age.
PE: we continued playing cricket and 8 children have been selected to take part in a festival next Fridayat the cricket ground from 9:30-2:30. If there are 1 or 2 parents that would like to accompany the group for the day then please pop in and see me!!! Swimming gala letters went home yesterday, well done to those children taking part, please let me know ASAP if they cannot take part for any reason.
Music: painting with sound.
The next few weeks spellings will be focusing on homophones and Year 4 word list words. X tables are now mixed.
On the Last Thursday of this half term we are planning a Celt day, the children will be asked to come in dressed as a Celt-please DO NOT buy new clothes.......plain trousers or leggings and sturdy shoes (as we will be using tools/knives in the roundhouse area-with Mrs. Thorpe our trained Forest Schools teacher) and then a plain top and either a towel or blanket make a great shawl!!!!!! Have a hunt on google for pictures!!!!!
Mrs. J :-)
