Celt Day

We had a very successful Celt Day today, with glorious weather to match. We began the day by setting up our settlement/hillfort, going about daily life..........milking cows, chopping wood, collecting eggs, iron work, cooking etc suddenly, a Roman messenger ran into the fort telling us the terrible news that an enemy, by the name of Boudicca, was nearing our tribe.........what were we to do? Was this a red herring? We discussed strategies incase she should arrive and went about our daily duties, weaving, cooking bread over the fire and making jewellery, all the while keeping a look out for Boudicca. After lunch, we learned more about the Iceni Queen and decided that the Roman messenger was sent to try to turn us against her! We chose to wait for her arrival.........meanwhile, more weaving, building our own shelters and carving claves and making beads. as we neared the end of our Celtic experience we received news from Boudicca that the Romans had made her life very difficult and she was no longer willing to put up with this, so she recruited out tribe into her army and we marched off to seek out the Romans - a battle ensued, however the Romans had better weapons and battle plans - we were defeated!!!!!!!! Could we continue to live alongside the Romans.......?
