Hello everyone,
Summer term 1 is shaping up to be a busy and exciting time for children and staff. We hope to see many of your tomorrow for the Coronation event (see emailed letter for details).
For this week's home learning we would like the children to:
- Continue to practice their times tables on a daily basis for 15 minutes. The children will be doing the national multiplication test in June and using Times Tables Rockstars is one of the best ways to prepare for this. The class has been split into two groups and are taking part in a battle of the bands.
- Read daily and practice their spellings (Wr words for Mrs Bernards group; unit 13 -ion words for mine and Mr MacBean's groups).
- Research an environmental problem that interests them. In the second half of this half term we will be focusing on environmental concerns and the children's completed home learning will help to identify issues that interest children most.
I have copied a few key dates below for your attention, although the emailed Summer term newsletter and parent information session email have the full list of upcoming events and activities.
Friday 5th May - from 1pm School based Coronation event.
Saturday 6th May - POW sining for the coronation at Salisbury fields.

Kind regards,
The year 4 team
