Around the world home learning

 

Hello everyone,

The children have had a wonderful time today with Mr MacBean launching our new geography based topic and honing their map reading skills. 

For this week's home learning we would like the children to do some research and make a note of any extended family or friends they have that have links to other countries. It could be that someone was born in another country, have lived there, emigrated there or even had an amazing holiday overseas. 

The children should have come home with this map worksheet. They have been asked to colour in the country that they have connections to and to make a note of the person and country in the box below. Over the next few weeks we will be making a display showing the links that we have around the world. I'm excited to see how many countries we reach.   

The children have also been sent home with a maths home learning sheet which should hopefully give them the opportunity to further practice what we have been covering in class this week.
