Yesterday, the children had a fantastic time at the farm, stepping back in time to experience what life was like as an evacuee during World War Two. They took part in a range of hands-on activities such as collecting wood for the cookers, and even making soap out of conkers and ivy leaves! Everyone rose to the challenge brilliantly and showed great teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day.
A special highlight from today was meeting author Chris Smith, who shared his inspiring journey to becoming an author. The children were fascinated to hear about his experiences and left feeling inspired to write their own stories.
We’re now looking forward to our Harvest Festival tomorrow at 9:15am, and we warmly invite you to join us. Afterwards, please come into the classroom to taste the biscuits we made. The perfect way to celebrate a week full of learning, creativity, and community spirit!
See you all tomorrow!
