Friday 15th July 2016

Another eventful week! We do like to keep busy right up to the end!!!!!!!!

Sleepovers were a super success - some having more sleep than others!!!!!!!!!! I would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to all our wonderful and dedicated staff members who gave up their time to help out - whether it was cooking, games, sleeping or breakfasts - a massive team effort to ensure Year 4 had a fantastic time and built yet another magical memory!!!!!!
Hopefully everyone is recovered and ready for the last push to the end!!!!!

Today was the annual staff against Y4 netball and football - tough matches but great sportsmanship!!!!!!! Well done Year 4!!!!

Rehearsals are under way for our assembly so please make sure costumes are in by Monday at the very latest!!!!!!!

Riddle me this..............

Your next riddle..............
Poor people have it. Rich people need it. If you eat it you die. What is it?

Now for this..........

Thursday 7th July 2016 - information

I cannot believe what a busy week we've had - it seems like weeks ago that we had sports morning!!!!!!!!

We were so impressed at the sportsmanship demonstrated during sports morning - super support for each other!!!! Well done!

Thank you to all of you who were able to support us, especially after it was rescheduled - tricky getting time off work again I'm sure! I would also like to extend the thanks to all of you who were also able to come along to the swimming gala - it as a great success - lots of cheering, super fast swimming and well done to Team GB who won by 1 point!!!!!!! (Hopefully that is a glimpse of the olympics in a couple of weeks!!!!!!)

Ofcourse, we also went to Cranbourne on Tuesday which was fantastic! WE learned about Roman daily life and experienced some of the daily jobs that a Roman would have done - weaving, bread making, making paint and painting, working a huge authentic water wheel as well as firelighting and exploring the iron mongers.............. thank you to our volunteers because without you coming with us we would not have been able to go!

The children all left very enthusiastically yesterday, eagerly anticipating transfer day - we can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow!!!!!!!

I DID tell the children yesterday, that tomorrow they can come in to school wearing blue, green, pink, purple (or a combination of those colours) home clothes in readiness for our Rio themed carnival tomorrow afternoon - parents are invited to come and watch the carnival - weather permitting outside - and are able to take your children home after the event (please do not leave with out collecting your school report though!!!) 2 - 3:30pm approximately.

A reminder that the sleepovers are next week - reply slips need to be returned please - arrive from 7:30pm onwards wearing your Roman costume! (School uniform in your bags.)

You can bring your assembly costumes in as soon as you have them (in a named bag please).
